The Tala Project Inc. ("The Tala Project") is grateful for every donation we receive. We understand that occasionally a donor may need to request a refund. This policy outlines how we handle such requests.
All donations to The Tala Project are considered final. However, we will consider refund requests made within 90 days of the original donation on a case-by-case basis.

Please include the following information in your refund request:
We will review your request and respond within 10 business days. If your refund is approved, we will process it through the original payment method (Stripe) within 5 to 10 business days. Please note that it may take additional time for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution.
If you have set up a recurring (monthly) donation and wish to cancel it, please contact us at info@talaproject.org. We will cancel your recurring donation within 2 business days. Refunds for past recurring payments will be considered on a case-by-case basis within the 90-day window.
If you believe a donation was made from your account without your authorization, please contact us immediately at info@talaproject.org. We take unauthorized transactions seriously and will work with you and Stripe to resolve the issue promptly.
If a refund is issued for a donation for which you have already claimed a tax deduction, you may need to adjust your tax records accordingly. We recommend consulting with a tax professional regarding any tax implications of a refunded donation. If a donation receipt was issued, we will issue a corrected receipt reflecting the refund.
